Networked
Networked
is defined as interact with other people to exchange information and develop
contacts, especially to further one's career. Network is an important trait to
the success of entrepreneurs. If the entrepreneur has a good network for
internal and external users, it will be easier for entrepreneurs to gain an
edge against business opportunities and solve problems on their business. A
good network connectivity enabling them to gain the support and cooperation of
the network circle. Thus, every entrepreneur needs to build networking skills,
as it will be the catalyst to achieving your goals and business objectives.
The
network is the result of past relations strategy and resources for future
strategies. The right relationship and obligation is the result of supply which
originally led to the company network, experience and investment it can be made
of the relationship. This means that, apart from additional analysis on
relations portfolio companies and understand what the network, this also
involves listing all additional resources through socially constructed. This
can be analyzed through the conventional view based on power of the company.
Successful
network is the result of proper planning and careful in developing and
implementing. Entrepreneurs need to find ways to create a good network and
maximize the benefits that can be obtained from it. The network must be one of
the main tactics in marketing for most independent professionals and small
business owners. Entrepreneurs must use a network user (client-centered
networking) to reduce costs and time to obtain and disseminate information.
The
example of entrepreneur for this trait is Thomas Smale which is a Co-founder of
FE International. He constantly networking with people that not only help his
business currently, but also have the potential to help him in the future as
well. He will never be selfish when networking. He always help someone and
provide value to them before thinking about how the relationship will be
potentially beneficial to him.
The
definition of open risk taker is an individual of business that tends to behave
in a way that can potentially cause physical harm or financial loss, but might
also present an opportunity for a recording outcome. Most business type that
thrive on innovation will encourage a risk taker mentality among management to
help support the creative process in other staff member.
Richard
Branson is an example for this trait. He is one of entrepreneur who launched
Virgin Group. Richard Branson launched Virgin Records in 1973 and today Virgin
Group holds more than 200 companies in more than 30 countries.
His
real name is Richard Charles Nicholas Branson was born on July 18,1950, in
Surrey, England. His father, Edward James Branson, worked as barrister and his
mother, Eva Branson, was employed as a flight attendant. Richard, who struggled
with dyslexia, had a hard time with educational institutions in his life.
He
has been in the music business field, Virgin Records. His first artist on the
Virgin Records label, Mike Old field, recorded his single “Tubular Bells” in
1973 with the help of Branson’s team. His business has been successful for the
time being with a wide variety of musical and raised the name Virgin Music in
the chart top six record companies in the world.
Branson
expand his business, including in the field of transportation, Voyager Group in
1980, the Airline Virgin Atlantic 1984 and a series of Virgin Megastores. But
he had a very bad bankrupt in 1992. Finally, the company was sold. He too
disappointed with what happened but he still continued the music business. In
1993 founded the station Virgin Radio and several years later he started a

There
are many definition to describe observant, one of them is someone who is good
at noticing things. Other than that, observation is the way to gathering data.
It can be from watching behaviour, event, or nothing physical characteristic in
their natural setting. Observant also can be call watching, aware and pay
attention. There are two part of the observation, which are direct observation
and indirectly observation. Directly is looking at the way an entrepreneur
starting the business. Meanwhile, indirectly observation is we have to think
how the entrepreneur can be successful, or we have to think to get an idea to
start business. Observation is one of the important components before starting
a business. It is because all entrepreneurs that successful in Malaysia or
overseas will make a good observation before start a business.
The
figure that suitable for observant trait is Datuk Ramly Mokni. He is the
founder of the famous nugget Ramly. Datuk Ramly is actually a butcher at a
supermarket in 1970. Before he started his frozen food, he makes an observation
during his working. According to his observation, he found that the frozen food
during the time is not sure whether lawful or unlawful. Because of that, he get
an idea to start the frozen food that are lawful. However, it was not easy for
Datuk Ramly to success. He had to face many challenges before he started the
business, such as there was none of the banker who want to lead money to him.
But he never give up and continued with the idea to open a lawful frozen food.
Even after Datuk Ramly become the successful entrepreneur, he always make an observation
to expand his business. It can be proved when he made a new product that
different from the original product in the company, such as black paper sauce,
chili sauce and mayonnaise but still related to his original product.
As
a conclusion, we need to do observation before start our business. For example,
Datuk Ramly. He is a good observant, because of that Datuk Ramly have many idea
to expand his business and to improve profitability. Through observation also
we can evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of our company and
competitors.
Visionary
A
visionary is a person with vision or power to look in the future and who know
what will happen in the future. Secondly, visionaries see possibilities, not by
making something different from everyone else but making exactly the same
thing. However, the difference is that they are doing the same thing
differently from everyone else. They follow what is happening around them and
simply find hot opportunities in which they enter. They are willing to take
action about that opportunity. All of that opportunities is the same
opportunities in which too many people entering in the same time. But, only one
is better than all other. They do not start a business in the opportunity that
they find only to improve their own lives. They start a business to improve
lives of their customer, and if they succeed in this improvement, they will
also improve their own lives.
Marissa
Mayer is an example of visionary entrepreneur who is a well-known in user
experience and product design. She is the current president and CEO of Yahoo!,
which has held since July 2012. Previously, she was a long-time executive,
usability leader, and key spokesperson for Google. As the twentieth hire and
the first woman engineer at Google, she helped develop many of the company’s
key features and stylings. Google enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence under
Mayer’s tenure and launched successful and groundbreaking products such as
Google Maps, Google News, Gmail and Chrome. In 2012, Mayer claimed a bigger
stage with her appointment as CEO of Yahoo. In two years, Mayer has
reinvigorated Yahoo's brand, reimagined all of its core products including
Yahoo Mail, Flickr and more, and introduced new mobile products such as Yahoo
Weather and Yahoo News Digest which have both won design awards. In addition,
Mayer has acquired more than 40 companies, including Tumblr. Her boldness has
made her a household name, and we’re pleased to award Marissa Mayer INFORUM’s
21st Century Visionary Award. In 2014, Mayer was ranked sixth on Fortune 's 40
under 40 list, and was ranked the 16th most-powerful businesswoman in the world
according to the same publication. She is the youngest person and one of very
few women to head a Fortune 500 company.
Failure Is An Option
A
failure is something that we do, which then harms others and have negative
impacts on people or other creatures. Not only others but also ourselves.
Failures are not all bad, but will give us experience and usually faster, we
will learn lessons from those mistakes. Recognizing the errors that have
occurred not only to be sad but also to fix in order to prevent a recurrence.
With offenses, resulting in self will be more discreet and polite so that the
same mistakes not repeated in the future.
Datuk
Aliff Syukri is one an example of failure is an option entrepreneur. He never
posed as a marketing officer at a time when it did not have enough workers and
deliberately present themselves as a model of Pakistan and founder of
cosmetics. However, every effort was in vain, as it turned out was not
effective at all. From there, he tried to get up to change the strategy to come
up with styling corporate character but the effect becomes even less during the
two years that the money invested will be wasted.
He
then tried his luck through advertising on other television stations to make
the most of the appearance of wearing regular clothes to dress and shiny than
normal voice to voice 'pits'. Apparently, something weird that is the talk of
the community and despite the various allegations received from the community,
but its impact is huge on sales. For him to become an entrepreneur is not
credible to imitate other people's ideas. If the first tagline was not so
interesting, but after a change of style 'filter' to make some people feel
strange and annoying.
